Smart things are everywhere — from the LIFX internet connected bulb in my bedroom, the NetAtmo thermostat in my living room up till the connected driving experience in my neighbours’ Tesla. These end-user devices are a lot more fun to use when they’re connected and needless to say — they sell.

IoT devices are wildly insecure. [..] So unless we make sure, with good design and good testing, that each and every IoT device would have a guaranteed device management that would last for the technical lifespan of that device, the internet as we know it will eventually consist of billions of devices that are insecure.
